John E. Hagan
Senior Housing Specialist

John's experience includes more than 34 years in senior-level management and executive positions with nationally recognized owners, developers, and operators of senior living facilities.

Since 1973, Mr. Hagan has managed senior housing programs such as continuing care retirement communities, congregate care and assisted living communities and Alzheimer's Care communities throughout the southeastern and southwestern United States. He has spent years managing senior housing communities for others and has also owned and operated over 900 units of his own.

He founded Contemporary Long-Term Care magazine as well as the Alabama Senior News. He also founded the Pre-Licensure Review Course for nursing home administrators. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Administration.

Lynda Saunders
Property Management Specialist

With more than 24 years of experience, Lynda Saunders has developed, marketed, and managed multifamily, retail, and commercial properties, including new construction and rehabilitation of existing facilities. Her familiarity with business development, system development, budgets, and more has given her the ability to deal with almost every aspect of multifamily and commercial projects, from market analyses to concept to design to signage, right down to the landscaping.

Saunders has been instrumental in organizing companies to manage income-producing real estate developments and composed the policies and procedures manual, as well as handling all associated operations forms and materials, to ensure her clients got off on the right foot and stayed on track.

Her hands-on property management experience ensures that every project not only goes smoothly during construction but also is manageable and user-friendly when completed.

David B. Schneider
Historic Preservation Expert

With more than 27 years of professional historic preservation experience, David Schneider has successfully completed a diverse range of projects for both private and public sector clients, specializing in community preservation planning, design review in historic districts, historic resource documentation, and the certification of projects for historic rehabilitation tax credits.

He has consulted on more than 200 projects involving federal tax incentives for historic preservation, including the use of rehabilitation tax credits and the donation of conservation easements. His services include design consultation, negotiations with local municipalities, state and federal review agencies, preparation of Historic Preservation Certification Applications, and project appeals.

He has completed numerous urban and rural historic resource surveys, historic structures reports, and published histories. He has also filed individual, district, and multiple property nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Schneider has extensive experience with rural historic landscape designation, including completion of a multiple property documentation project for the Historic Farming Resources of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He also completed nominations on resources as diverse as a chocolate factory and an aircraft hangar. His advocacy led to the successful nomination of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to the World Monuments Watch list.

Active in professional and community organizations, he serves on the board of directors of the Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation and is vice chairman of the City of Anniston Historic Preservation Commission.

Russell Lee Stogsdill
Architect

Russell Lee Stogsdill has been an architect since graduation from Texas A & M University in 1966, and for many years he served on the faculty. Over the past 40 years he has designed and supervised the development of commercial and multifamily projects.  To include apartments, retirement communities, assisted care facilities, nursing homes, commercial and industrial buildings, educational and governmental facilities.

He has specialized in the design of multifamily properties for the past 20 years, and today is engaged in the design of multifamily HUD projects throughout the southern United States.

John B. Kennedy
President

John has over twenty-five years hands-on experience in management and marketing of construction / real estate related companies. He has an extensive background in construction administration, development services and operations of real property.

In 1995 he founded Diversified Real Estate Services, Inc., a licensed Real Estate Company in the State of Georgia that provides development services and construction management services to include: site selection, Financial Feasibility Studies, Market Surveys, Capital Needs Assessments, construction administration and complete development services in the continental United States. Clients include real estate developers, Non-Profits, municipalities and individuals.

From 1993 to 1998 John was President of Diversified Appraisal Services, Inc., a Commercial / Residential Appraisal Firm which provided Appraisals, Feasibility Studies and Market Studies to banks, mortgage companies and credit unions in the southeastern United States.

John became President of Bradford & Associates, Inc. beginning in January of 1989, a Construction Management / Market Analysis Firm that provided services to real estate development companies and national parking companies throughout the continental United States and Canada.
